Rare original Citizen Cosmotronic Electronic Parawater, one of Citizen's most innovative pre-quartz developments from the early 1970s. Unlike conventional automatic watches, the Cosmotronic uses a unique electromechanical movement, representing the important transition between traditional mechanical watchmaking and the quartz era. This example features a beautiful blue sunburst dial that changes color with the light, a large 40mm case, and its original Citizen bracelet. These early Cosmotronic models have become highly desirable among collectors of vintage Japanese watches. A new battery has been installed, the watch is running, and a video of operation is available.
